Do you have any videos I can watch that explains how the new proposals experience works?

 


What are the big differences between the older experience and the new experience?

  • The key things we've made the same are the simplified layout where everything is accessible via your fingertips.
  • We've adjusted some of the UI to better equipped to handle mobile friendliness for those who are working on the go.
  • Speaking of mobile-friendliness, the recipes are stacked to make it more seamless and consistent no matter what device you're on (and hopefully to avoid scrolling for miles).
  • The Settings for the proposal are now under the Admin tab at the top of the proposal.

All that is great. What others things are to come?

  • We're currently finishing up our fonts customization, which our customers are excited about!
  • We're going to be enabling you to better control the layout of your workroom to make it fit how you work.
  • You'll be able to adjust the layout of your proposals to give your clients an incredible experience that fits their needs.
  • The new infrastructure we've built allows us to add additional functionality like third party integrations with tools like floor-planning software.

Why did you change the design and user interface?

  • Since the beginning of Curate, users’ feedback has been around customization of their proposals. Our team has taken this opportunity to redesign the infrastructure which will allow us to continue to innovate and improve the ability for you to do so. You’ll see new updates rolling into the app on a more consistent basis, items like new fonts and colors, the ability to move sections around and more. We understand that change is often difficult and that’s why we have prepared resources to make sure this is an easier transition for you.

Why did you move to this tab-like view?

  • Great question. In our customer’s feedback over the past few years, they have indicated the need to clearly separate each part of the proposal. With the new layout, your client can engage administrative pieces like the payments and contract separately from the bouquets, rentals, or other items and sections. But don't worry, they also have the ability to see all tabs together in one single screen like before.

Why can’t I see as much of the event or proposal as before?

  • With the new design and updates, there are certainly some changes to get used to. However, we recommend changing your browser view to encapsulate more of the workroom and proposal view within the new experience. In Google Chrome, at the top of the browser, click on View, then Zoom Out, and place your percentage at a view that fits you best. This should help you navigate a bit easier.

How do I go back to the old experience?

  • During the transition period, you can click the floating toggle to switch back to the older version if you’d like. However, this will be deprecated in the future so we do encourage all users to get comfortable with the new layout! We would be more than happy to send you over the resources that have helped many others make the transition easier.

How do I see the customers form submission info while creating the proposals?

  • You can engage the customer information by clicking on their name in the Overview tab just like before. In addition, many of our customers will pull this up side-by-side using two browser windows so they can work off of both as they’d like.

How do I return to the dashboard?

  • You can return to your Event Dashboard and the rest of the navigation menu and tabs by clicking the Events button at the top left of your proposals at any time.

Can I print the workroom view in the new experience?

  • Of course! This is still the same. In your browser, click File > Print and you will be able to see how it formats along with the ability to select which pages to print as well.

Where are my backend worksheets and how do I send the proposal in this new experience?

  • We have kept everything the same! You will see the Hamburger Menu at the top right of the proposal where you can engage the Shopping List and more if you have the COGS or other product subscriptions. In addition, you can mail the proposal via the Hamburger Menu, too!

How do I customize my fonts and colors when it's released?

  • You'll be able to update your fonts and colors to use per proposal, in the settings area. Select from a list of defaults and drop-downs to make your proposal more customized to your liking!
